The North Line update in mid-November changed the game completely. It’s scary but thrilling. The Matriarch, a colossal machine, demands proper teamwork to take down, while the Shredder pushes through defences like they aren’t even there. The new quests have me chasing rare components, and tweaks like better XP for Rocketeer thrusters make levelling feel like it’s worth the grind again. Wolfpack grenades finally have a reason to exist too, which helps balance the loadouts.
Fast Patches Meta Fixes
Live-service games hinge on dev support, and right now, Embark is nailing it. Patches 1.3.0 and 1.4.0 hit quickly to sort the meta. That quick-swap gun exploit? Gone. Locked-room bugs in the Spaceport and annoying player-push jumps? Fixed. Even AMD crashes have been sorted without breaking other stuff, which is rare. It’s a good sign when a studio can stomp bugs and exploits without making the game worse, and it’s kept me—and plenty others—hooked longer than expected.
What’s Coming Next
The upcoming “Cold Snap” update in December has me bracing for chaos. Blizzard conditions will drop visibility to near zero, making every extraction a gamble. The 2025 roadmap promises more maps, gadgets, and themed loot, leading into premium decks in early 2026.
